Short and Sweet Delhi 2012, 3rd edition of world`s largest 10-minute theatre festival in Delhi. This year 42 directors including many stalwars will showcase their talent during 9 shows across 4 venues.

1) Dickheads (Theatre Garage, ITC)


Written by Ashwath Bhatt


Directed by Vivek Shrivastava


Cast – Kailash, Amit,Vivek and Natraj hasrat


Dickheads' is a story about two street children (orphans) who go on to be the biggest icons ever produced by India. From ‘rags to riches' their whole life is captured in this play in a playful funny way with a deep meaning inside it for the society.



2) 2922 (FreeParking Entertainment, ITC)


Written by Arnav Nanduri


Directed by Pranay Manchanda


Cast - Pranay Manchanda, Kabir Nath, Arnav Nanduri


The epic journey of a talented young athlete, who is forced into exile after being accused of doping. A ten minute musical chronicling his life and struggle.



3) Who's the Boss (CreaShakti Productions, ITC)


Written by Dushyanth Gunashekar


Directed by Vaidhya M Sundar


Cast – Dushyanth, Drishya


India's cities' frequent power cuts makes one night at the office a little TOO close for comfort for a secretary and her boss.



4) Chairpersons (Strayfactory, ITC)


Written & Directed by Rajiv Rajaram


Cast – Sandeep john, Joslin Julius, Venkatesh Harinathan


What happens when a game of musical chairs turns too serious, does it matter anymore that it is just a game.



5) Nine types of ice (PACT, ITC)


Written by Michael Ripley


Directed by Gouri Nilakantan Mehta


Cast – Vipul Malhotra, Avantika Tomar, Neha Bishnoi and Shubh bharatari


What happens when someone close to you is on the verge of death? This play talks about the juxtaposition oflife, hope and loss.



6) The evil effects of smoking (Swayambhu, ITC)


Written & Directed by Dinesh Yadav


Cast – Dinesh Yadav


This short dramatic monologue is in the form of public lecture given by protagonist at an assembly hall in a small town. His domineering wife has forced him to lecture on the harmful effects of smoking, even though he himself smokes-but not in her presence. As he talks he keeps postponing the actual topic and instead fills us in on his regrets, longings and views on his wife.



7) A different Client (Scene stealers, ITC)


Written by Josh Hartwell


Directed by Vivek Mansukhani


Cast – Vivek Mansukhani, Sahil Sethi


A wealthy gentlemen is visited by a younger male escort. His desires are not as simple as the young man anticipates.



8) Solitary Creeper (Turntable productions, ITC)


Written by Medha Bankhwal


Directed by Akriti Saronwala


Cast – Arnav Sahni, Medha Bankhwal, Pranidhi Das, Prateek Handa, Rishan Dhamija, Shoury Gupta, Tulika Vardhan


For the milling crowds, the Delhi Metro is not just a means of affordable transportation, it's a glimpse of the outlines of each countenance, on the wheels. Every station defines the introduction of new characters in the episode of the show we are conveniently an element of. But what when you knew you could trim or reassemble this episode, in the same space, or not?
